Feeling sentimental.....a post for Sarah!

From time to time we all look back and reflect on various aspects of our lives. Today I have been thinking about this time last year when we were on holiday with the Worley's in New Zealand. This prompted me to look at our photos on both mine and Sarah's flickr pages.
Whilst browsing through Sarah's photos I came across photos of another holiday we shared 5 yrs ago back in 2003 when we (The Robinson's) were still living in England. We went to Ibiza!!

Here are our four children from left to right in Ibiza: Anna, Grace, Cameron and Daniel.

And here they are 5 yrs later in New Zealand: Grace, Anna, Cameron and Daniel. Haven't they grown????

Such wonderful memories of special times with special friends......we miss you guys!!!

Sarah: when's our next trip and where are we going?????

We're Aussies!!!!!

Last night we attended our Citizenship Ceremony in Brisbane's city hall. Aussie, Aussie, Aussie!!! It was fantastic!!! It was an hour long, starting with an aboriginal welcome dance ( see photo below). The Lord Mayor was there along with some other dignitaries (not sure who!!??) and there were several speeches. We then got to stand and repeat the 'pledge of committment' along with 480 other people and they set of party poppers in the hall!! There was a brass band there playing 'waltzing Maltilda' and we sung the national anthem at the end. It was a really lovely evening and we were all given our certificates of citizenship and a plant to plant in our gardens. Afterwards we walked in to town to the main mall and had coffee and cakes at a cafe with some friends who came to support us. We were given some lovely cards and gifts (which we really weren't expecting!). The Aussies made us feel really special. It was a truly wonderful evening. We didn't get home til 11pm and thus we didn't get up til 8am this morning (late for us!!!), so we kept the girls off school for the day. Kevin was in true Aussie form having been made a citizen and turned out a wonderful brekkie cooked on the BBQ this morning.

Netball skills

Anna and Grace are currently on school holidays and took part in a netball skills camp this week. They had training with some members of the Queensland Firebirds netball team, and had a great time! They got a free t-shirt, a free netball each, and a hot dog and can of drink for lunch every day. It was brilliant!
