Grace is 11!

Today we celebrated Grace turning 11 on Friday!! Having returned from a 3 day school camp on her birthday, she was somewhat tired on Friday evening, so we gave her and her school mates a chance to recover before we had a party in our local park this afternoon.

Slab!

Footings!

This was 8am this morning. Since we were last here on Friday they have put all the drainage in and covered it all up again ready to prepare for the slab pour:

When we came back at 4pm this afternoon: this is what we found:

These are the footings apparantly. Polystyrene blocks with wire mesh over the top? They will pour the concrete over this tomorrow. I'm glad they know what they are doing!

Construction begins!

Well, almost.......the block of land we are building on has been 'cut'. This is a technical? term for the piece of land being levelled and smoothed out ready for the digging of the footings:
